what may be the problem for this?

When i tried to run a script (form updating), I get the following error:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 24768 bytes) in ...
What may be the cause and remedy for this?
    Thanks

    That's simple
    Allowed memory size is exhausted

Your script eats more memory than allowed.
I believe, some debugging will give you more info.

    Thanks Mr.Shrapnel
If that is the case then we can have following solutions:
    1> using ini_set('memory_limit', '128M')
    2> using php.inf , memory_limit = 128M

Note the values in bold. which the value to be increased as per your requirement.

First solution to try for me - is to repair an error, not to adding more memory limit. It is not infinite. Does this script really need such amount? Or you have no idea and it is just updated script for some third-party program? To write a bug report is a good idea then.

as for tho methods above, choose any method you wants.
just check if it was really applied.
