List your favorite Prison movie of all time:

One of mine is "The Green Mile". Tom Hanks did an awesome job in this one.

Papillon as well. I read the book many times and saw the movie about ten times as well. One of the few movies that lived up to the book.

hmm, Lots of y'all are mentioning 'Papillon'. I may look it up one of these days.

The will-power of Andrew in Shawshank was just super appealing to me. That's one movie I can always watch.

The first time I saw it and they got to the part with the empty cell I had a grin plastered on my face from ear to ear, and a silent middle-finger in my head, directed at the warden.

Trying to fill the unforgiving minute
with sixty seconds' worth of distance run.

I loved The Shawshank Redemption as well, what a great story.

The drive to be free is so strong in both movies, they also make you aware how in terrible situations you can still eek out some joy if you keep your spirit alive.

I really liked Lock Up with Stallone because I'm a meat head, but I have to say ol' Shawshank Redemption is the best.

The Hurricane was very inspirational also.
