He probably is not that worried. I doubt that young man will ever lack a job, money or a female companion if he stays in S.Korea

God that's stupid! I would have renewed his contract and played him, and if not I would have still renewed his contract and sold him. I would have gotten at least $10 mil. on him after his performances!

Well, Trezeguet scored against Italy the winner in Euro 2000. Juve just bought him. Did they sold Trez? No! And that proved to be a great move.

I had a great oppinion on Gauci since he made some terrific moves and great discoveries [Liverani, for example] but that's really stupid.

Big error. Maybe they think he's not good enough, but think of the merchandising!!!!!

How many Korean's would buy a Perugia shirt because he plays for them!

I think they have already thought of the merchandise [they have had previous experience with Nakata - Perugia was his first European club] but their nationalistic ego was too big.

Yeah, do you know what the Korean players received when they won that game? According to a Korean newspaper, they received roughly $200,000, a new car, new house/apartment, and will be exempt from military service (since most are under 21) along with the fame they will receive. Ahn Jung-Hwan definitely won't be out of a job soon...

it doesn't really matter whether he would be out of job or not (probably not )... the thing is Perugia were extremely bad sports and imho some of the Italians are being a little childish in their behaviour, attacking the referee and all in the media... imho they came out 2nd in the match and Korea deserved to win... they only have themselves to blame...

I wouldn't say the game was fixed, but the ref was pretty crap.

Why oh why do FIFA insist on giving vital games to referees who have no experience in a top flight league? I know that the English refs often get sent home early for various errors, but at least they referee high pressure situations week in - week out, as do refs from Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Brazil, Argentina etc.

That's unbelievable - imagine if they said "throw the game or we fire you" - isn't that equivalent to match fixing?

The Asian FA have threathened Perugia that if they don't change their policy they'll impose a ban on the Italian club, so that no Asian will ever play for them.
