    Online Forms using JavaScript

    Hi all, I am developing an internal site it will not be run on a web server but a file server and I can only use client side code.

    Is there any way of using JavaScript with forms so that when the user clicks 'send' the information that they have input into the form is sent to my email address?

    I have been looking for this sort of code but unsucessfully. If anyone knows where I could download the code please send the link!

    Thanks in advance!

    Intranet

    known as an Intranet. It all depends a bit on your internal Email system. If you're using Novell Groupwise prior to version 6 then you might run into some difficulties.

    Email forms

    Thanks, I didn't want to call it an Intranet as some people automatically start talking about web servers which we haven't got (for this purpose).

    The internal email system is Microsoft Exchange if this helps?

    email form

    Like randem suggests a normal HTML email form should work. Here's a complete one, just change the email addess to your own and test it.

    <form method="Post" action="mailto:your@email.dom" enctype="text/plain">
    <table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">
    <tr>
    <td width="80">Just a test</td>
    <td><input type="text" name="Item1" size="37"></td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
    <td>&#160</td>
    <td><input type="submit" value=" Submit! "></td>
    </tr>
    </table>
    </form>
