Hi everyone,
I've just been viewing some site statistics for some userAgents but don't understand what they mean, for example:
Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 5.1)
The above says Mozilla 4.0 but then after it, says compatible; MSIE 8.0.
I'm not sure what this means as I thought that Mozilla was one web browser and Microsoft Internet Explorer was another. Can anyone clarify what it actually means? I've included more examples below.
