What is the best and cheapest hosting service out right now? Please don't plug your own site or affiliate host.

Is there anything that is best and yet cheapest? You cannot have it in that combination. The best thing in life are the most expensive, and the cheapest the worse. That is how things are in the real world.

But if you mean a hosting service that is affordable but of good quality, I can suggest downtownhosting. It is good for the price you have to pay. But I must warn, sometimes it is slow. It is down too but very very rarely, I hasten to add. The attraction here is the price and that is probably what you are after.

The best and cheapest doesn't usually come together. Although you could still find great hosting companies that provide affordable packages. =)

Whenever some one ask for best and cheapest always it seems to get replies like nothing called cheapest and the best, come on friends he just want to know what is atleast the best possible, know what you think at that range, please dont bump immediately with this kind of replies.

I think fast cow is best and good for 3.5USD free domain, UL space and BW.
justhost has some bad reputations all over so make sure about them.
BTW: If you want my hosting i can provide it too

I have friends who sells free hosting plus one domain name for around 13$ only. Is this the range if price you are looking for?

You can also try to heck Name Cheap dot com. They might have just what you need in terms of hostings.

You get what you pay for
If you are expexting for the goos quality you need to be ready to pay for that

I've had a mix of experiences with a large number of web hosting providers so far. However, there are only a few such as LimeDomains, HostGator, FatCow etc. that have impressed me.

There is not a best hosting there.Even Hostgator,would said to be slowly loaded by few customers.Choose one that suit your need well is the most important.
Consider again on your quota and find a budget and people here will suggest a reliable hosting for you!

Hmmm, there are many providers who try to sell for a dollar or two. But I definitely don't know their names. it is more important what do you need, now who sells cheap!

It seems that they have a dedicated server (or perhaps a cluster) at Rackspace.

It all depends on your needs. Cheap hosting is not that important. What's important is the uptime of your site and the support of the hosting provider when you need them.

I work at a web agency and I can tell you that the best hosts by far are Dream Host and HostGator.

Yet there's a very sizable difference between their shared hosting services. Hosting at Hostgator is hands down more stable and faster.

There are reputable host companies that charge a reasonable price for their services. This is real and I am not joking.
