This will NOT become a fanboy discussion, or it will be closed.

Personally, having played all 3, I like XBox but have nothing against the other systems.

I've got the PS2. Can't say it's the best as I've not played either the Gamecube or the XBox. With the prices coming down on those last two systems, I might get a used for cheap and find out myself though.

Psst, it was underpowered, released waaaaaaay to early the games really sucked (except for a few).

Segas decision to only make games was a good one. Not that I think Sega sucked at consoles, I had the mega drive (genisis to you yanks) and it rocked.

I'm now a PS bum now, and I have played an xbox (was totally unimpressed by halo, not bad gameplay, bland and unimpressive graphics) and a gamecude (luigis mansion) and always being a nintedo fan, i am planning on getting one (i've had every nintendo console except for the virtual boy).

Virtua Tennis, UFC, Crazi Taxi etc etc etc kicked butt. Actually had a friend playing VT with me last night who'd bought his PS2 round - he was amazed at the graphics and said that the tennis was way better than PS2....

+ Internet access - a feature missing on UK PS2's - way ahead of it's time....

My favorite console of all time was the original 8-bit Nintendo system. Why? Well just look at the games back then. They were amazing considering the computing power that consoles had back then. And they were imaginative..(anyone remember Maniac Mansion? Fester's Quest? Some games were downright straaaange...)

A lot of the games had really interesting plots (Blaster Master!) and aside from Mario and Zelda, there was never any hype like "you've GOT to get this system because they're coming out with Game Sequel #20 and it's gonna RULE!) blah blah blah. It just seems like thats the majority of games these days are spinoffs and sequels of existing games. Which is fine..but there's never really anything new.

I own a Game Cube, and I love the graphics on it. I envy PS2 for the simple fact that they have Jade Cocoon 2 (to which I am addicted) and are coming out with RPG Maker 2

I had Blaster Master (lets chase a frog down a hole...) tho I never did complete it. The NES was indeed a great console, and there was some very strange games released on it. I had this very strange with bugs bunny init, can't remmebr the name tho.
