It's been a while since I've done any work in flash and I'm not sure how far things have progressed since then. Is this site as dynamic as it looks? Some parts, such as the picture gallery look as though they might be interacting with a back end.
What do you think the workflow of a site like this is? Is everything entered into a back end possibly coded in php and mysql, then pulled in with flash? Does a flash developer have a workstation with meticulously filed templates that are recompiled and uploaded again?
Uhh, goodness. That threw me off the first time too. Hover over the middle of the image and it splits in half, which then gives access to the rest of the site.
The site loads a lot of xml so chances are it is content managed. The use of swfaddress URLs might indicate that it's using gaia framework. You'd probably want to look at constructing a site like this in a modular actionscripted fashion rather than lots of timeline animation and nested clips
