    Blog Spammers Affect Adsense

I can't believe it... all those stupid texas holdem spam comments in my blogs have actually caused adsense to show nothing but poker related adsense ads. Now my ads are completely irrelevant, even though I deleted the comments a week ago. I have to wait until google comes back and spiders again. Evil blog spammers must be stopped! It's amazing that comments can affect what ads show.

what you can do is do write a new articles and then submit in social bookmarking(PR5 site and above) so that google webcrawler will update your adsense ads within 1 to 2 days..

Simply use nofollow, and the spiders wont include it. Using nofollow help you getting rid of those spammers.

using nofollow wont help, comments are another form of content on your page, and google read content on the page to show relevant ads so if the content is more related to poker obviously ads are going to be poker related. So either moderate comments properly or publish more niche specific content.

    hope it'll help.

What sort of spam protection do you have on your blog? If you are getting lots of spam then you should set it to put copmments into moderation until you ok them.

I didn't know that, that sure is annoying.. and you said you needed to wait for like a week. That would surely hurt your adsense income... =(

Use a spam protection software, you can grab a free one from many sources. If still it fails to stop spammers, begin to moderate comments, use the option to approve comments before getting posted.
