Another thread in this forum mentions MySQL triggers, i just looked up a page on w3schools to find out more about them, they sound like just what I'm looking for some database stuff for part of the site that i'm creating.
Are they specific to MySQL or would they work with all database servers?

All the major RDBMS's have triggers, but they don't necessarily have the same syntax.
