    php/aspx compatability??

I have a client that wants me to use a database that's used by a company he works under. The larger company has a database that is accessed by a aspx page, but I don't know how to code in this.

As long its a sql database, can I still access it using php?

The IT guy at the company said they could give us a link to allow me to access the database. I'm assuming he means that the link will submit to a function using the GET method, but the aspx doesn't have any parameters in the title.
Does aspx use the get/post methods? and if it does, do they have to rewrite the search function to accept GET variables so i can do this??

Once you find out what type/version the database is, then you can find out whether or not php can communicate with it. The answer is almost certainly yes.
