Need Help with Building Targeted Traffic.

Hello folksÖ just wanted to pick your brains on how to drive more traffic to our site (www.oleda.com). We currently use Google AdWords Select, and have a few doorway pages that we are experimenting with. I have us listed in just about every search engine out there though Iím sure there are still plenty to submit to.

We are started to do news letters along with e-mail blasting to our opt-in subscribers. This is new and has not shown any results yet.

Our site is kind of unique as its focus is Anti-Aging for older women. Iím looking for ways to increase our link popularity but canít find anyone that wants to share links.

We tried some banner programs but the traffic was not targeted enough and therefore the cost was not worth it.

So far our majority of buying traffic comes from Google, word of mouth and advertising in magazines.

Anyone have any suggestions or ideas.

If you like PPC search engines, try out overture.com - I think they're pretty good...

    Thanks,

I forgot to mention that we are also doing the Overture thing also. Not real happy with the Big O though. It takes two much time to manage the ads and it can get pricy real quick.

I would say Mom websites would be good for your site. There are many mother related websites out there. Also I would even try some sweepstake types sites, more women play these type of sites then men. Also beauty tip websites as well.

    BubbaGump -

I checked out your site. It is very professionally designed and easy to navigate. However, I only saw product information. Perhaps if you added related articles it would give people a reason to stick around longer. I see you are planning a community - that, too, I believe will strengthen your site's appeal.

I've posted a link to your site in the "Women's Health" section of our community's forums. If a thread develops, it may offer valuable feedback.

    Best of luck!

    Building Traffic For Your Site

A few suggestions come immediately to mind:

    1) Offline advertising to bring customers online - seems
that you would do well in testing some of the magazines
that cater to your target audience - Good Housekeeping
I know has done well for products targeted to similar
    target market as yours.

    2) Write articles for ezines that attract your target
customers - there have to be some out there, try searching
the ezine directories for areas that will attract your
    market.

    3) Joint ventures with other sites that attract women that
fall within your target - ie, what avout iVillage or
other leser known health sites etc... Rather than offering
a full affiliate program, you could just offer 20-30
high quality joint venture partners commissions on sales
made of your products through their links.

    Hope that helps...
