    Status bar in IE6 disappears

This is slighty offtopic but I do not know where to put it. I use internet explorer 6 and my status bar keeps disappearing. I go to "View -> Status bar" to switch it on. Then after a while it disappears again..

    There are two solutions:
    1. Stop using IE and get Mozilla instead - www.mozilla.org :E
    2. Read this tip

I recommend number 1, but then I'm difficult like that :P

Had the same problem at home:

With (only one) IE open, click View and select: Status Bar.
Hold down the Ctrl key and click the close button (upper right).
Open Windows Explorer, click View and select: Status Bar
Click Tools > Folder Options > View tab
Click the "Apply to all folders" button.
