    The biggest differences I've found are the way they handle boolean types and stored procedures.

    IMHO, postreSQL does a better job (especially since the boolean type is an actual boolean, not a TINYINT or alias for TINYINT like in MySQL). But, MySQL is married to PHP.

    I'm not sure what the distributed database situation is like on postgreSQL.
