Ruby -v still 1.8.2 after compiling and installing 1.8.6 on OS X 10.4
Ruby -v still 1.8.2 after compiling and installing 1.8.6 on OS X 10.4.
Any suggestions or hints? Anyone?

I develop on a Windows machine, so I may not be the one to talk to, but...
From what I understand, Mac comes with Ruby already installed. I am guessing that 1.8.2 was already installed, and you may have installed 1.8.6 yourself. If that is the case, is 1.8.6 updated in the path as well?

Thank you phillipus rex.
I've had a look at my $PATH and found that both /usr/bin AND /usr/local/bin are stored in there. I installed the new version in /usr/local/ so i just had to rename the ruby executable in /usr/bin and i was ready to go.
