emacs or vi? which editor do you use in Unix and why?
i use vi and haven't really used emacs before so i'd like to know why you use emacs (if you do use emacs that is)

emacs...i know i know, real men use vi, but hey
what i usually do is use xmanager to connect from a windows box to a *nix system. if i then use emacs, it pops open a nice X window with emacs right on my windows desktop, and i can use copy/paste easily between my windows text apps and emacs...
i fiddled with vim as a last resort, but don't particularly like it...case of taste, i guess
