    Reselling Domain Registration

Today my boss asked me to set up and "e-Commerce" type site where visitors can order a domain, which he would then register through his own registrar. I have no idea how I would set something like this up. Are there any free systems/scripts/plugins (anything of the sort) that might help me accomplish this?

    Thanks

Front End/Interface Design... Yeah, I'm a little worried too. My boss said that if I installed shopping cart it can do something like this. Is that true?

I think you should hire someone to create such site or try out checking at Hotscripts.com.

Why your boss would ask you to do this work while you seems know nothing about the domain business field.

It really depends on your bosses selected Registrar.

The registrar I use (Netregistry) recently released an API for it's resellers and it looks like it would be quite easy to set up the functionality that you discuss.

However if your boss wants to use some other registrar that doesn't provide functionality like this, it may be a big job/impossible.

It is just a matter of signing up as a reseller with the registrar and they should provide the necessary tools to set it all up.

If you wish to setup an Ecommerce site then I'd suggest free applications like osCommerce and Zencart. You can try any of these.
