What's an "ops", did you mean OS?

A computer suffering from many virii can usually be attributed to a PEBCAK, an OS change won't help much.

LOL I was assuming he meant OS. On the contrary if its a PEBCaK, changing to a Mac or Linux OS will severely cut down the chances of getting virus, malware and the likes into the system.

It really doesn't matter on what OS you're using, if you know how to protect yourself from viruses and get rid of malware then fixing your computer would not be a problem.

True, even better would be to upgrade from Linux or MAC to a speak-n-spell. Guaranteed to be safe from viruses then.

If you keep getting viruses, stop torrenting warez, porn, e-mail attachments which say "open me" and software from websites which aren't well branded.
