    Mysql error ( Help)

    I'm very new to Mysql:

    Keep getting this message

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function: mysql_connect()

    What dose it mean ?
    How do i correct this problem ?

    means that php was compiled without mysql support, more than likely.

    But how do i correct this problem, my hosting company is no help at all.

    Mysql is running, but could this error be a problem with my hosting company.

    yeah. Do me a favor and let me see your phpinfo.php file. I'd like to verify what I said because it's REALLY odd that mysql would not be supported. They have to go out of their way to disable mysql support, because mysql support is a default module. Especially since they have mysql installed. What were they thinking? That you could use telepathy to access the db?
