justlukeyou, well that article is totally inaccurate for a start, I know for a fact that the tennis association club, Wimbledon had an iPhone application (and along with it mobile platform for watching matches) in June which offered news, profiles, scores on all open courts, schedules, draws, videos and pretty much everything you would find through their IBM tracker system for the whole of the tennis tournament... and yes Wimbledon does qualify as a sports club.

No it isn't, the article sais that Real Madrid have launched the worlds first 'Mobile Phone Platform'. Part of the platform is an iPhone application.

What do you qualify as a "mobile phone platform" because I see nothing in that article which the Wimbledon system didn't already do

Maybe there are not difference between those two. yet my thoughts of that is that... I don't need it.

    1.- I don't like football
2.- Even if I liked it, I have more important things to do and things that I like more
3.- I live 5 min. from the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium....I don't even need to turn on the TV to know what's going on... how's that as an application?
