    WP Affiliate Pro Useless?!

I've been using wordpress affiliate pro plugin, for my wordpress blog some time now.

I just recently noticed that it MAY not be useful in terms of SEO as advertised.

Say you want to increase link count to a specific post, so you include it in other posts as well. Notice the generated links aren't direct links to the post or page you want to promote.

They are wp aff pro random generated links that REDIRECT to the post or page you want.

    How effective is that?

What SEO benefits are they touting? We're not familiar with the plugin, so maybe if you shed some light onto what they say they do, we'll be able to help

Thanks.. doesn't matter... I found this post that explained everything:

    Code:
    http://zedomax.biz/blog/make-money-online/seo-hack-dont-buy-wordpress-affiliate-pro-just-get-the-link-a-dink-plugin/
Basically, it is useless for internal linking for SEO and PR juice. Just good for affiliate sales. However, there is another alternative mentioned in the post above.

There's about 100 or so (may be an exaggeration) of these "keyword replacer" plugins. They all pretty much do the same thing, but well worth doing.

That WP Affiliate Pro could be misleading people if it touts SEO benefits (it quite clearly doesn't - it seems more of an affiliate link tracker). What did they say on their marketing blurb?

I could've sworn they mentioned it in their sales page when they first came out, but now it is not there:

    Code:
    http://www.wpaffiliatepro.com
However, many of their affiliates promote it as a good seo plugin.

many of their affiliates promote it as a good seo plugin.
Affiliates promote the products for financial gain.
So you need to do minimum research while making a purchase.
