Freeware \ Opensource Back up Software Recommendations

I'm trying to find close to the perfect Opensource \ freeware back up software. That particular software that can come close to some of the commercial versions, but with quite a few to choose from, ranging from what is on this page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_backup_software to one particular software review I came across which was called Macrium Reflect Free. I'm having a tough time any recommendations ?

SiberianHuskey, try Cobain backup, it's very powerful and does the job to a high level of quality.

Alright, I'll give it a try. There was a commercial back up program that had a free version I don't know the name of it but there commercial backup program was better then the other commercial backup programs. If I saw the web site I'd know if it was the one or not, but I can't remember the name of it.

    1. What are you backing up? A Windows install, a Mac, a website, your Documents folder, an external hard drive?
    2. What are you backing up to? Linux server, external hard drive, etc?

Answering these questions would get you more relevant responses.
