If you remove them, then what will go in their place?

I suggest looking into a navigation plugin for wordpress. I've used one before, but I forget its name - it was good - had an ajax / draggy droppy interface and made the process of creating complex navigation bars very pleasant.

I don't want anything to go in their place..

I have no content to go on these pages, at the mo you can click on them and it directs you to a page with no info.. am looking to disable this so when you click the link nothing happens and the user is forced to click something else..

I did use a plugin called page lists plus that did what I asked but it added an extra homepage on my nav bar which I couldn't not get rid of.

The javascript used messed up my css also..
