How are you "Unfinancially" Successful through your webloits?

A thread on this forum got me thinking about successes. Through our websites we often directly/indirectly earn an income, but strip away the money, how have you been unfinancially successful? What opportunities have come through your website? Have you met any celebrities through your blog? Share below!

Anybody who replies with "It's made me $1000", or "allowed me to quit my job" or "I can now afford to never shop at Home Bargains Again" aren't allowed - I'm talking about things, interests, or people that you would never have done before, but can thanks to your web interests.

I'll start.

Through My Blog I have:-
- Met 2 of my girlfriends (though not at the same time)
- Become a professional wrestler (professional in the style, not being paid)
- Been on the BBC. Twice.
- Been in the Guardian.
- Played football at Anfield (Liverpool FC's ground)
- Competed in the Gumball 3000

Sure there's more, but that's mine, what about yours?

No, I did a bit of work for BBC Radio Wales, appearing to talk about Blogging & Social Media. I was their expert, which was ironic, because half the questions I didn't have a ruddy clue.

I count every achievement, however small, as an enriching experience. I certainly don't want fame, but fortune ebbs and flows. (fortune, in its original meaning of "good luck; success; prosperity", and not just financially)

Through my website I found the other part of my family.
That's what can happen when you actually use your "about" page and write information that is strictly about you, rather than some marketing mumbo jumbo.

I can say that I didn't meet Andy and Mike... I think that's an achievement

A non financial success I had was back in the 90's where I wrote freeware for the MSN Chat network, I made a name for myself and got a lot of experience in competitive practices, marketing and the whole process of maintaining a longstanding project... experience which is worth more than money in my opinion

Definately Alex... it was a silly and not very well phrased joke related to the another thread. The thread was about if someone was going to go to "Geek In the Park", a meeting for web developers somewhere in Mid-England. Andy and Mike met there.

My Spanish jokes are terrible, but I guess my English jokes are worse
