    Question Preventing Direct Linking PDFs

My server is running IIS and I am using ASP pages. Is there a security measure I can take to prevent people from sharing the direct link to a PDF from my authenticated pages? We use a server technology called iMIS which does the authentication on the ASP pages but it does not have the ability to secure the PDFs on those pages. Is there an IIS way? Thanks.

Disclaimer: I know very little about IIS, and have not touched it in 4 or 5 years. However, it seems like you'd want to setup a filter to deny access to the PDF files that are accessed, if the ASP script is not the referring URL. If so, it looks like the solution on the link above might help you out.
