Vitamin E and time.

I agree... vitamin E is the best source of antioxidents for healing skin and scar tissue (Yep, mum taught me that lol).
Many expensive creams out there... but don't bother. Get the natural oil from vitamin supplements... and rub it on.
Massage is also good to increase circulation to the area...
Others (Dan Millman - Way of the peaceful warrior) also recommends using your mind to focus your attention on the area as you're massaging. Whole body type thing. Read his book... it's fantastic. (But he uses some kind of other poultice created by urine... I think that's a bit old school for me though haha!)
Hope this helps,
Dave
If the scar is old, you need to have a laser scar treatment to remove it... ugh costly!![]()

I have some scars I'd like to get removed too :/ I wonder how much it costs for laser removal... anyone know?

buy the scar remover, I remember is 50 US per bottle. one bottle is quite enough
Oh... seems to be it cost too much for a laser removal.
I had use before a cream to remove my scar on my knee and it works well. But that was some time ago....
I'll try to remember what it is.

Would this fall under the expertise of a Dermatologist too?

I got chicken pox in July 2008. The scars from those little b*stards took almost a full year to go away.Originally Posted by devAngel

Anyways, thankfully they're all gone now.

A nationally-known, board certified, plastic surgeon recently told me that there is absolutely no clinical evidence that Vitamin E is effective in reducing scarring. Do what you want, but look for real medical advice rather than advice from those posting here. Except me, of course.

get some mepitac™ and cover your scars with it. I have been using it after some surgery and it worked; took some time though.
I didn't use it as long as i was supposed to, only used it to the scars got better/looked better. you can also ask your doctor about "triamcinolone acetonide" injections or cream.
No one at the hospital said any thing about vitamin E, maybe they had been reading this![]()

Aside from going to the derma, vitamin-e is also a vital part of healing/removing scars.
Wheat germ oil contains a concentrated amount of vitamin-e on every 1tbps. (but I don't know either taking it orally or just putting it on the scar helps to remove it)![]()
