    Peter Pan Syndrome

Peter Pan Syndrome a condition characterized by immature or childish behavior, refusal to grow up.

Term coined by pop psychology author Dan Kiley in his book "Peter Pan syndrome: Men Who Have Never Grown Up." Peter Pan is in reference to J. M. Barrie's classic 1904 play in which a boy who refuses to grow up teaches Wendy and her younger brothers how to fly and then it's off to magical Neverneverland for adventures with mermaids, Indians, and wicked Captain Hook and his pirate crew. The play's full title was "Peter Pan, or, The Boy Who Would Not Grow Up."

I heard from the News before that the King of Pop - Michael Jackson also suffered from this syndrome.

I've never grown up either, not really. In some respects I have, but I have more fun having banter and goofing around that being serious.

It depends on what kind of growing up you mean. I often said that I was born old in the sense that I always had a high sense of resonsibility and took charge of whatever was needed and did what I had to do without complain. Can I behave like a 2 year old? Of course!

My trouble was, by the time I had got the hang of being a child...I was grown up. (Well, sort of)

The few who learn by observation.

In a way I have it too, but in a small amount. I'm just a late bloomer. I think that in order to mature into adulthood you need to experience some key points in your young life. For example I had a friend who has gone through a lot of bad experiences in young age, so she matured faster than me.
I believe it's more complex than that, but it definitely exists.
Now about MJ, well, he's a freak of nature... Well, was...

It's not bad to stay young in spirit as long you're not over some threshold. It's bad to be 100% mature because you don't live and you don't have fun anymore. It's just a waste of your life, so don't feel bad for being a little childish, enjoy it!
