Retrieve results in a specified order

I need data returned from the table to come back to me in a certain order. Is this possible or do i have to order them after i retrieve them?

if you just tell me what to google for ill look it up myself!! i searched the order by in the mysql docs and i couldnt find anything.

i told you exactly what you wanted to hear, using the same level of detail in my answer as you used in the question

i could show you exactly how, if you explained which table(s), columns and which specified order you wanted

you could also google "custom sort order"

i haven't been in here a while. i dont remember things being so rough. anyway thanks for your help, custom sort order was what i needed to google

for people that come here and dont want to be sassed
