Now look at the 4th listing. Can someone explain why this page hasn't been dropped from the index? They have had a redirection up for the past 6 months. And look at the description...blatant spamming. As well they only have 36 incoming links and the URL is not SE friendly. Do a view source and check out all the invisible text.
Can one of the so called SEO experts please explain this pages high ranking on a fairly competitive term. I thought Google only cared about incomings and anchor text and such. According to this example keyword density is extremely important.
There is definately some spam techniques going on here... espcially the use of hidden text.. chances are that Google just has not caught it yet, which is common. In many cases, it will not be detected until someone reports it. Spam in Google can be reported to spamreport@google.com Be sure to include all details.
They aren't using the exact same color for the text and the background, which is why google doesn't pick up on it (they're also defining it in CSS which may be an issue).
DOn't worry though, those words aren't what gave it #4, its the links.
Its all in the links ,they got there in spite of the amateur spam , not because of it , but if you are competing with them , they left you a free gift, follow the link through to their new site, and click on the extreme tracker (bottom page planet gif) all the info you need right there .e.g what keywords ,how many uniques a day, from where, etc
