    Website vulnerability test and analysis

    Hi guys,

Looking for some advice, as part of on going development for web development I like to start using some form of vulnerability testing service or analysis. Can anyone recommend some companies or individuals that are setup to offer this service?

    Many thanks,
    Si

If you are looking for website scan (in order to find insecure forms, possible security risks, etc.), you can try http://www.fixmyscript.com service. It doesn't cost much and you get full reports of insecure functions/parts of your website

Well, I was going to suggest that you look up SPI Dynamics, but I just learned that they've been acquired buy HP (about 2 years ago, lol). You can check out the HP Application Security center for more info on their vulnerability testing software (e.g. WebInspect). I have less than 5 posts, so I can't put up a URL, but the easiest way to get there is to go to spidynamics (dot com) and it will redirect you to the appropriate web page on HP's site.

I was also going to recommend two very good books, but unfortunately, I get the following stupid error: "In an effort to stamp out forum SPAM only members with 5 posts or more can post website links or email addresses."

    Okay, now let's try again...

There are also a couple of good books that you can check out:

    1) Developing More-Secure Microsoft ASP.NET 2.0 Applications (Dominik Baier)
    2) Programming .NET Security (Adam Freeman and Allen Jones)
