Small pop up once a week

I have been getting a small pop up window about once a week it is named the day and date Like “Wedsday November 2 10:00am“ but alway current. To get rid of it (Temporarily) I have to ‘ctrl-alt-delete” and end it in the task manager.
I have the latest windows and the latest Norton cannot find any viruses.

Does anyone know what this is or how I can get rid of it?

Next time it happens, locate it in the 'processes' tab in task manager and tell us the executable name.

Are you sure it's not being triggered by another application? Maybe it's piggybacked to something.. .

The only time it has come up is when ie has been running.

Well I am pretty sure I figured out what it is. I found a file- “HPSdpApp.exe” and looked it up and other people were having the same problem with it.

I guess it is a HP reminder pop up but I have already deleted the files it uses to pop up and connect to whatever on the Internet so it just pops up with the date and time and a blank Internet pop up.

I looked for the file and cannot find it to delete it so it must be in the registry of somewhere hidden. I am not that concerned now that I know it is not mal or destructive code just an annoyance once a week.

    Thanks for the help guys..

Make sure to enable searching hidden files and folders- should be launched via the Windows startup as well, check the 'msconfig' utility.
