Google's Browser, will it come with Google Chrome Os?
Just a thought, after reading a post about European Union Microsoft competition case then some Google Chrome OS leaks.
My brain twitched.
The EU said:
"Microsoft's tying of Internet Explorer to the Windows operating system harms competition between web browsers"
So when Google Chrome launch their Operateing System in the EU. Will/should the EU say:
"Google's tying of Google Chrome Browser to the Google Chrome operating system harms competition between web browsers"
They too will be unable to bundle Google Chrome Browser with the Google Chrome Operateing System.
That is a different situation since there the operating system will not be able to run any other programs at all - the browser window will be the desktop and hence the browser and operating system will be one and the same thing.
Concept really sounds neat. I was expecting Google would launch a full OS, like the traditional ones, off a Linux kernel. That would give Linux a good boost on the desktop market. But no, knowing Google, it has to be different.
