Best Wordpress Plugins to Build a Community ?

I know there is Buddy Press, but currently I don't like it, I prefer lego system where I choose myself what I need.

So what wordpress plugins could one could use for that ?

you should look to Wordpress.org and check one by one. I don't think you can achieve to what Buddypress supplies.

bbPress is a companion software to Wordpress, and they can be linked to share users, etc.
