    Multiple Wordpress Categorising

    Let's say you have a blog based on your favourite sports team. You want to write a post about a player (David Beckham) which is categorise them by their name and then it also categorises it by their position (midfield). Is this possible if so how.

    I have only seen wordpress blogs which are categorised by only one element.

    If what you mean is whether it is possible to have multiple categories for one post, then the answer is Yes.

    You just select as many categories as you want when you are publishing or editing the post.

    I have seen blogs were people put each post in all of the dozens of categories they had to try to make it look like they had more content or something.

    you can always call the template tag wp_list_categories and exclude or include the id of the category

    <ul>
    <?php
    wp_list_categories('orderby=name&include=3,5,9,16'); ?>
    </ul>

    a good place to reference is alway wordpress codex site here is the link to the wp_list_categories tag
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_...ist_categories
