    vista updates

Vista automatically sends updates to your computer, and earlier today I updated my computer, and when i turned it back on it kept bluescreening. I just did a system restore and now it works fine.

but I was wondering if Vistas updates sometimes screw up your computer?

    thanks

Is this a trick question? Asking if Windows updates can make your computer hiccup is like asking is a banana a fruit.

no its not a trick question, windows did an update and the next time i turned it on it was bluescreening. i did virus scans and they came up with nothing...
and the system restore backed it up to just before i did the updates that day

Depends what is installed on your computer which might be incompatible with an update, or maybe there is an incompatible driver that was updated. It is really hard to say, when you factor in every computer is unique.

what is the exact version of vista you are using? is it 64bit or 32 bit? 64 bit version seems a bit buggy from my experience, in particular, the home version.

You mean the drivers and the applications you install are buggy, not the OS itself.
