    separate music from the voice

    Hello there guys.

I have a question though i'm not sure if this is the right forum or not.I was wondering if there is a program that can separate the music from the voice so that i can save only the music.

    thanks in advance

I'm afraid to say that there is no software available that can just take the vocal out of an audio track after mixdown (ie. from a CD or mp3 or similar).

There are a number of ways you could try to do it though:

    1) Apply EQ. This is one of the most effective methods to make a karoake track (without vocals). If you apply EQ, to remove the sounds (frequencies) you don't want (ie. get rid of the bass or similar).

    2) You could try AnalogX Vocal Remover, which is a free Direct-X plug-in. Although this is by no way perfect, although is free and is easier to use than the other methods.

    3) You could also find an audio editor where you can change the phse of the audio by 90 degrees, and then remove the centre part of the track (the centre of the stereo mix). However, you may well also be removing the drums, as they are often central in the mix as well.

    4) By far the best way to extract the various elements of a track is to contact the track author, and ask them for a copy. This is the only way that you will ever get each element truly on its own.

Once prosoniq come out with their sonicworx pro software, this will be more achievable than ever before (according to their demo on youtube). Needs a hefty mac and will have a high price tag though.

As I know, there is no great software to apply as you need.
It can be hardly done. Mine, some background voice still exist.
I am using soundforge. By adjusting the EQ, I can grab the vocal of the song
