    Read flash cookie

    I'm using this code to create a cookie:

    user = SharedObject.getLocal("user");
    user.data.signedup = true;
    user.flush();

    and, accessing it using php:

    $x = $_COOKIE['signedup'];

    But, unable to access. It throws an error:
    Message: Undefined index: signedup

    How should I access the cookie created? Please help.

    Thanks

    Flash SharedObjects are not browser cookies. They are not stored in the browser and are not accessible to the browser (so they're not sending them back to your PHP code). They are just text files that sit in a special folder controlled by Flash.

    I think that in the same domain you should be able to access the same cookies, but not cross domain.

    The object is stored in a folder named after the domain it's on, so this indicates cross domain access could be a problem, but same domain access might be possible.
