Inconsistent number size on charts - Help Please!

    Hi,

My developer is building some charts, but we are having serious problems with the different sized numbers.
For example - if you have 88 and 11 - the 88 is taking up more space than the 11 and i want them to be uniform - so whatever the number is they will take up the same amount of space and not make the chart look scrappy.
A good example of how this works well is : 24hgold.com
we have done all of the obvious like changing fonts, etc... But still had no luck.

So basically i'm trying to get a fixed character width in PHP GD

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,

If you can share the URL where we can see the problem and also the piece of code you have written for generating these numbers then that will help us identifying the problem and suggesting something.

    Cheers,

Crete the entire chart. then select the whole thing and convert it to bitmap. This way you will be able to resize it according to your desired size.

If you view the source code for the likes of 24hgold you can see the styling they use for their tables. You can also view their CSS referenced in the header to establish the settings they are using.

Just copy their parameters, apply to your site and hey presto your graph looks just like theirs...
