Phpbb comments for external website

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, not quite sure where to put it.

I'm running a couple of sites using cmsmadesimple, and I want a commenting system below my articles. Now, I want to do this using phpbb. Anyone seen a script that allows users to register / login and post comments like this?

The idea here is that each new article = new forum thread, but the forum stays "hidden".

One thing I used for a long time that I assume is still available is Topics Anywhere.
