I don't want to accuse anyone of anything here but I'm just noticing what's happened on my site.
Over the last six months, revenue from our Amazon affiliate program has fallen by about 75%. What's strange is that during that same time, traffic to our website has increased by over 50%. We've added new book reviews, featured books in newsletters and in general, have done just about everything we can think of to bolster this number. Yet each week it continues to fall.
I'm just wondering if anyone else has noticed similar behavior recently and what they attribute it to.
No, my Amazon revenue has increased by over 200% the last 6 months.
Perhaps you've changed the style, position or description of your links to Amazon ? Or is it just the revenue that's descreasing and not the number of clickthru's ...
same here my amazon revenue has increased alot this quarter...
make sure that your links are still valid by going to into the reporting center (yes, i know they haven't updated yet) and then run a report for a period when you started seeing a drop and then see what visitors clicked on items...
i do that regularly and pick up 2 to 5 dead links from amazon codes which no longer exist...
This topic has surfaced on the Amazon Affiliates Discussion List [egroups] and has created some concern on the part of several list members. You might want to check out the list archives at egroups. Information on the list is available at: http://www.e-comprofits.com/amazon.html
