What should I look if I launch potentially very high traffic web site

I am writing a financial statement for my business plan and like to know what numbers should I expect from the the host. If the potential traffic will reach 405,000 visitors a month what my requirements for the hosting company should be?

    Your advises are highly appreciated.

    Thumbs up

Well, if you are launching a website and you are expecting a good amount of traffic on it then you can consider a dedicated server with high configuration to start with. Once you start getting very high traffic on your website then you can upgrade your dedicated server or you can consider a load balancing solution.

Make sure that you consider a hosting provider who offers fully managed dedicated servers with round the clock support so that you can contact the hosting provider at any point of time for assistance.

Also, you should also confirm if they offer easy upgrades, otherwise, it might create a problem for you at later stage.

The cost is now depends on your hosting requirements. Prices are different from dedicated Windows hosting to Linux hosting.
By the way, what are your website platform?
You can start with a lower specs of dedicated hosting plan and can upgrade to higher package in a later time.
Find a hosting provider that provide money back guarantee and also good support team preferably live client support team available.
    Cheers!

I want to thanks everyone for your responses.
But I still would like to know what the approximate cost could be. I have to present the biz plan to the client and need to crunch the numbers. I understand that I can ask the host company, based on the requirements and your suggestions. But even before that if somebody already hosted high traffic sites and remember what was the price, can give me the better idea for the budget.
The site platform should be Linux.

    Hi,
You can start with VPS first and upgrade to dedicated server as and when needed. Look for a web host that allow you to upgrade your plan easily.

Each new solution should be compared with the previous one.
If you was on the VPS and you was tight that is recommended to move to the dedicated server

Go for a business plan from any professional hosting company. Every bit of your requirement would be taken care of. essentially if you need to mention the amount, it varies anywhere between $120 to $250, depending on the company. AS such all the top hosts provide every single requirement you have. hopefully this helps you.
