Poll: Split this forum?

I understand that its all data-storage related, but the concepts/methodolgy behind XML and Relational Databases are very different. Some people may be interested in the threads about relational databases while not interested in threads about XML, and vice versa. Does anyone else think this forum should be split to an architecture like so?

threads in the Data Storage forum would be general/miscellaneous, such as storing in a flat file or some third party format. and the 2 sub-forums would be specific to these technologies.

Sounds good to me, although I think the XML post volume is so low it isn't a hassle now. Once XML picks up in here, perhaps.

true, but it seems to be getting more and more popular every day on these forums, and i figure better sooner than later to split them, especially if some moderator is assigned the task of moving any existing threads into their proper categories.

I voted no. There simply isn't enough traffic or the number of posts. Forums are normally split up for one reason: Posts on a given topic are either getting lost or are flooding everything..

Although there's plenty of RDBMS question and could well constitute a forum of it's own, I also don't think XML has the life to live on its own. For now, I voted to keep 'em together.
