Hey I am tryng to get dental insurance and was wondering if they are legitimate.
I dont understand what Im paying for. Just a plan for my teeth, and is that it?
Do these sites refer me or something, or is it a gamble?

I don't know if you have the same in the states but here in the UK I have a dental plan with one of the High Street pharmaceutical stores.
It costs £25.00 ($42) a month and basically covers me for everything. We also have the national health service which is supposed to be free, but in reality finding a dentist who is prepared to treat you under the NHS is like trying to find Hen's teeth.
There are three kinds of men:
The ones that learn by reading.
The few who learn by observation.
The rest of us have to pee on the electric fence.
haha..
Im in USA it is different here, its actually cheaper than that like $150 a year but it covers like 40% of your operations I think.

Dental insurance is legitimate, basically you pay for a healthcare plan for your teeth (you can get both medical and dental but costs are probably high), essentially it is a gamble on any care you might need being covered - like you get car insurence on the chance you might be involved in an accident. Personally I prefer a Pay as you go system and I am with a private dentist in the UK for the same reason mentioned earlier that finding a decent NHS dentist who isn't going to push you away for private patient's just isn't worth the stress anymore.
Anyone from USA Here :,(
I heard one of the original health insurers in the country, and are part of a network of franchised companies, try their online quote if they have a dental insurance.
Dental is very important. Mine covers a certain amount each year and 50% a visit.
Thanks. Im going to go for a visit for $135 new customer and probably get two teeth repaired if it's under $400 (I know they are cavities GRR!). If there is anything more serious than that I'll consider getting insurance, Ill ask the ladies at the dental office when I go how it works![]()
