anyone got any idea on how i can raise $95 a month steadily? that's what it costs to run my server and if i can't keep it up i'm going to have to move... i hate moving....

For "I Think It Sucks", You will have to rely on advertising I believe. There doesn't seem any other way.
For "Computer Moles", you can syndicate your content through isyndicate.com. Sell ads in a weekly newsletter covering new releases, reviews and other software info. You can sell MoleWear, T-Shirts, Hats, "molepads". Sell the software you review through some sort of affiliate program, there are several out there. Of course you will still need traffic to maintain the sales.

Well $95 a month is not much, so is it worth putting ads all over your site for it? Probably not.
How much traffic do you get to the site? Will it manage to get signed on to a burstnet or other ad campaigns?
Targeted advertisers buying spots on your site does not usually come first thing, so you will most likely have to improvise until then. I had to pay out of pocket for a dedicated server for a couple of months, but now the ads on my site are paying for a month of my server every two days, so it can come when you go after it, but sometimes it takes a little to get a little
$95 a month seems awfully steep. It seems like you should be paying no more than 30 dollars/month total for each site... If you are paying more you are probably getting more than you need. If you need all that, then you should be big enough that $95/month would be easy to make.
Advertising is the only way to go. (Mailing list ads pay particularly large amounts). Amazon.com, for example, requires you to sell $250+ of books before you get your first check for $25. That's a lot of books...
Thanks all. I've come to the conclusion that there just aren't any fast ways to make a little bit of money! whiles it's NOt a problemt o pay the $95 i just figured if i could get something going then i'd be set.

I'm not sure if it has all the features you are looking for, but it certainly has all I need. The Strictly Business account is only $44.95, and you can add on FULL ACCOUNTS for other domains for only $4.95 per month.
I have been with DH since Jan 99. They are flexible and easy to work with.. even with 80,000 page views per day, dreamhost still keeps my sites running smoothly.
It should cost less than that. It has less than half of what the Vservers.com package offers him. 3 POP3 email vs. Unlimited; 100 megs of space vs. 250; Plus on the Vserver plan he has access to all of his configuration files and can host multiple Domains.
Plus Vservers is one of the pioneers of the Hosting industry. If he was going to change I would suggest that he went down to Vservers Lite which is only $55.00 per month but only 100 Megs of space. All the other features are the same and it still looks better than the Dreamhosts package, IMHO.

This is an easy way I use to make some cash since this affiliate program pays $1 for each free sample ordered. It's called Web Cards, they're postcards custom-made using your site as the design. Order free samples and get info on the affiliate program here:

You might also look into Mamma.com's search engine affiliation. If you get enough traffic you can take advantage of it. We're using it at my site (connecttexoma.com). It lets you customise the results page with custom header, colors, links, etc. Basically, they pay out 50% of their advertising revenue for your results page.
There are a couple of downsides to it. For one, you get roughly a buck a search, and for two, they don't issue the payout until your account breaks $100. But on the plus side, you'd get a customizable meta-search engine!
Just one request: don't put one of those "get paid to surf" affiliations on there. I think they suck! (*nudge*)

Don't cheat AllAdvantage out of money or there will be no more money to win. AA itself is a perfectly fine thing as long as you don't do unethical stuff. For example, would you write down fake amounts of time on your company payroll? Same principle.
I highly doubt that anyone makes over one hundred thousand dollars a year from AA. If you were on EVERY moment of a year, you COULD make $438,000 but we must remember that there are limits. AA only pays up to $20/mth. So, with the limits in place, you could make only a total of $240/mth. Add referrals in, maybe at the complete most $20,000...IMO
Also correct me if I'm wrong but the Administrators don't like referrals happening.

8. You are not allowed to post URL's that lead to an affiliate program or that in any way earn you something. These posts will be deleted and you will be banned from posting. You will have the ability to refute the restriction but it is up to you to contact us. We don't have time to notify someone when they are in violation.
Posting your Affiliate ID number and asking for a referral is as bad as posting a direct URL. Just because of your post don't be surprised if your All Advantage account gets revoked. I remember in the last newsletter that they were paying rewards for tips that led to the end of the type of fraud your promoting.

Allclicks.com has a really good program..
I just make a few pages aimed at search engines etc. and I receive about $70 US avery 2 weeks..
I'd love to refer you to them but Luke (moderator) says that sort of thing isn't allowed.

I have been paying US$85/month for 2 sites of mine Eva2000.com and ThePrequels.net on Simplenet.com and Interland, respectively.
To cover some costs I use Alladvantage and Amazons.com (just received my cheque from Amazons.com yesterday and my 2nd Alladvantage cheque last week )
For http://theprequels.net , I also use Advertising.com pay per click ads to cover the rest.
Unfortunately for me my hosting costs will soon blow out to US$400-800/month once I move to my own dedicated server.
I recommend Advertising.com since their staff are very responsive to my emails and my rep is willing to work with me in increasing my revenues for my plans once i move to my own dedicated server.
If you don't mind working at it a bit Amazons.com can also be rewarding... the only downside is they pay every 3 months so you would need something to tie you over until you get paid.
For you I suggest looking into pay programs that pay per month rather than per quarter.
