Is it possible to delete a html tag in Notepad++

Having recently switched to Notepad++ I'm really liking the colour highlighting that I didn't get in plain old Notepad.

I also like that when my cursor is in an HTML tag (either opening or closing) it highlights the other one. i.e. cursor in opening tag it also highlights the closing tag. This is really helpful for spotting mistakes.

However, does anyone know of a keyboard shortcut to delete both of these tags at the same time when they are highlighted?
