Smile What OS (Operating System) you are using now?

As of now, I'm still a Windows XP users. Recently I found that Windows 7 is great if compare with Windows Vista. I'm thinking to use Windows 7 in the future when it's officially release.

What OS you are using right now?

Currently using Windows 7 x86 (RTM/Final 7600), in the not so distant future will have the x64 version on my new desktop. Previous to that I was running Windows Vista.

I use Vista at home and 7 at work, and both are fantastic operating systems that have yet to fail me. I've also got a broken Fedora box but that's only ever dragged out for minor testing.

Windows XP Tablet Edition. It's a little more buggy than normal XP (or at least I think), but I still like it.

Use Ubuntu (Jaunty) primarily; I rarely use XP but I've left it dual-bootable just incase.

Anyone who's never used Linux before, I recommend giving Ubuntu a go. It's completely free so there's nothing to lose by trying it. A program called Wubi can be used to try out Ubuntu on the backbone of Windows. I used this myself a few months ago to get me started, and I've since moved fully to Ubuntu, running it directly rather than through Wubi.

XP Pro on my work laptop, but the company is switching me to a MacBook Pro soon because that's the standard for my department. I was using XP Pro on my home PC too until it bit the dust a few days ago.

That's one reason I moved to Linux - I want to stay up to date but I've always had issues with Vista and keep downgrading to XP whenever I try it - on several machines, one of which was top of the range at the time (4gb memory, 1tb hdd, quad core processor, decent graphics card - Vista was still terrible on it).

Ubuntu runs smoother than that on my personal laptop, which has 2gb memory, 80gb hdd and intel core duo.

But the main reason was that I was fed up with the backwards-compatible (bloat, old standards) mentality of windows. Ironically the only frustrating thing about Ubuntu is that it isn't backwards compatible with my 2-year-old ATI graphics card, so I can't use Hibernate or Standby

I have used all Windows Operating Systems since Windows 95 at home and have had a play on a Windows 3.1 at college which was really fun .

I currently have a laptop running Windows XP SP2 which I intend to place Linux Ubuntu on because I have the disc but haven't had chance to install it yet, well, I have, just lazy I guess.

I currently use Windows Vista Home Premium [32-Bit] on my Dell Desktop PC though . And yes, as soon as Windows 7 rolls out at retail, I'll be upgrading too.

I would love a Netbook running Linux Ubuntu on, and a MacBook Pro would be great! I'm greedy!
