Question Can someone tell me what this actually is?

I think my site has been hijacked, (again) but I am not sure how/why these links are coming up - finding them on CopyScape. Any ideas?

    My website: http://www.kariandco.com

    The imposter: http://ipmask.org/index.php?q=uggc%3...rfvta-snd.ugzy

Doh? What do you typically do on these sort of things?

    Thanks a mil,
    Kari

I thought CopyScape tells you when your content has been reproduced on the internet, not when your website has been hijacked? I'm slightly confused.

Also the imposter link goes to a web proxy and the URL submitted, a uggc, resolves into

http://www.kariandco.com/web-design-faq.html (use rot13.com to decode a uggc into actual html).

So, I'm even more confused about what's actually going on?

P.S. I've never used CopyScape myself

Yeah, you're right - I think 'hijacked' was the wrong word - I'm sorry - it's actually been reproduced, or mirrored on this site. But it feels a little weird - sort of like a hijacking

And - this is the second time someone has done this.

I guess I don't understand what the UGGC is - ? and why would someone do this? Especially with my content? It's not that great!!?!?

(I'm working on that by the way?) LOL

Let's just say this was a false alarm. Use Google and Wikipedia to learn about uggc and what a proxy is, the proxy has most likely cached your site (similar to Google cache) since users of the proxy may have visited your site.

Thank you - I am sure that was what the other one was as well. I will read up on proxy & UGGC.
