Hello I want to use both WWW-Authenticate and session to show certain things for members in my page

first of all when the pop-up comes up it takes a few tries before it submits, but if you press cancel it will submit in the first try...err wierd

    link to my site:
click on sign in and enter this

    user: test
    pass: test

uhmm...if the user and pass would work then all would be honky dorey...but it doesn't for some reason.

secondly, the page comes up with "Cannot find server" if you try to access the link after having just had a failed login.

so get it working first or display the code so people don't have to bother with the cannot find server and failed login attemps.

    no worries..

small free advice... PHP_AUTH_USER isn't excactly the most secure login you could fix up. I'd suggest writing your own login script instead.. very easy actually.

    just a thought

    hmm why is that?

just using sessions work fine but I want to use something that remembers the user so they don't have to log back, so I might go with cookies if Auth is not the answer
