XAMPP and importing database into server

Hi,
Because it's easier for me to work locally I've just started to use XAMPP for preparing sites in Wordpress locally and then moving them into server.
My question is: What should I pay attention at? Will it be so easy: export database in XAMPP and import into server?

There are a couple of Wordpress settings which tell Wordpress the URL, so you have to change those manually once imported to your actual server.

sorry, I was referring to settings in the database, but probably there as well - it's been a while since I used Wordpress

What c2uk is referring to is two values in the wp_options table, siteurl and home. If you change the domain of your WordPress website you need to update these values with a query like so:

UPDATE wp_options SET option_value = 'http://newdomain.com' WHERE option_name='siteurl' OR option_name = 'home';
