Question Build a site around a forum!

How would I go about building a site like Zeropaid where the site is built around the forums? Could I do it for free?

Sounds like you need one of the Nuke / Slash systems. PHPNuke, PostNuke, Slash all allow you to quickly set up sites which revolve around articles and comments systems (which is essentially what zeropaid is). Best of all, they are all open source

    http://phpnuke.org/ (PHP)
    http://www.postnuke.com/ (PHP)
    http://www.slashcode.com/ (Perl)

There are plenty of other similar systems (in all kinds of other languages), but those are three of the most popular.

I reckon Jer is talking about RingQuest. It worked like a charm, but what do you mean with it doesn't migrate nicely?

What software did you use to create RingQuest?

I didn't build RingQuest, I bought it, but it uses vBulletin, vBportal, PhotoPost, KBase and a tonne of vb hacks to achieve what it does
